Samoëns is a
beautiful village, listed 88th in the French National Office of Historic
Monuments, and the only ski resort in France to be so listed. La Ferme
des Mesanges is located in the hamlet of Vallons d'en Bas, in an extremely
beautiful setting amid ancient French farmhouses and a small chapel. From
this location, the farmhouse enjoys not only the mountains directly behind,
but also views across the valley and sun late into the day. |

The
weekly food and textiles market (Wednesdays) is a very popular and busy
occasion - visitors should ensure a small space in their agenda for a
visit. There is also a smaller fruit, vegetable and flower market every
morning in the town square.
Samoens is a village, not just a ski resort so is busy and vibrant all year round, with an impressive range of restaurants, cafes and bars catering to all tastes as well as a widely varying selection of shops and other amenities. This area is well known for its outstanding cycling and walking trails to suit all levels of ability. If you wish to take these walks at your leisure rather than as part of a guided group, we can supply you with route maps. The main routes are all clearly signposted, taking you through some breathtaking alpine scenery and not a vehicle in sight! Samoëns has a lot to offer, for both families and individuals seeking adventure or alternatively just sheer relaxation. There is something for everyone here - the possibilities are endless.
